Patrick J. Knapp, PhD, completed an MA (Philosophy of Religion) from Denver Seminary (Winter, 2000). His MA thesis was titled “The Place of Mind Control in the Cult Recovery Process.” His doctoral studies focused on marriage and family systems and attachment with doctoral work at Gordon Conwell and his PhD (Pastoral Psychology) dissertation completed at Graduate Theological Foundation “A Survey of Religious Abuse and Recovery” (2019).
Heidi I. Knapp
Heidi I. Knapp, CLC, Life Recovery Coach specializing in spiritual abuse and complex relational issues. Heidi has completed Counseling Studies in addictions thru level CAC ll. She has completed University courses in both theology and psychology and spent 25 years in education and personal study in life recovery related issues. She holds three certifications in life coaching through the Light University AACC, (American Association of Christian Counselors). Heidi also co-directs and writes related material for Becoming Free, LLC.
Pat and Heidi have over 50 years of combined recovery related experience and education. They have helped people to process harmful relational and spiritual experiences for improved insights and emotional healing. Pat and Heidi provide HIPPA compliant virtual and in-person life recovery coaching both for former members along with friends and family that have been affected by religious or spiritual abuse or difficult family estrangement issues.
Pat and Heidi live in Colorado. They enjoy the splendor of the Rocky Mountains and surrounding area. They take pleasure in their country home and spending time walking & hiking together. One of their favorites “Denver spots” is the Denver Botanic Gardens. Pat and Heidi value time spent with family and friends!
